Report on CBOOA Industry Information Forum - 4/11/04

The November Forum saw a record attendance of members and guests.

Department of Fisheries provided an overview of Fisheries data collected from Charter Operators. Their report and analysis will be available in the next few months and we will provide a link to that report, when it becomes available.

The Water Police provided an overview of their activities, areas they cover and general information about their services.

Jim Austin of Primary Lubrication spoke briefly about their products and preventive plant maintenance.

CBOOA member, Frank Pizanni, provided an overview of the recent amalgamation of Fremantle, Cockburn and Whitford Volunteer Sea Rescue groups into the Metroplolitan Volunteer Sea Rescue.

It was announced that the Draft Code of Practice for the Charter Boat industry should be available for comments opn-line, in the new year. Plans are being developed to publish sections of the Code on a monthly basis and seek industry responses through the on-line survey system.... so watch that section in both the industry and member areas of the website.

The evening concluded with a BBQ which was a great success.
